This is the most important class your puppy will ever take!
Your baby puppy's first months are the most critical for establishing good habits and preventing future behavior problems. This class -- which includes loads of off-leash puppy playtime and socialization opportunities with people -- uses our purely positive methods to start building your puppy's social skills and set him or her on the right path to a lifetime of success!
This early education class will also emphasize:
- How puppies think and learn, and how to teach them the right things from the very start
- Essential good manners training, including Sit, Down, Settle/Relax, Stay, Leave It, Give/Take It, Leash Manners, Come When Called
- Teaching your puppy to greet people politely without jumping up
- Tips for establishing proper housetraining and chewing habits
- How to cope with your young pup's play biting
- Shaping appropriate behavior through proper household management

The first Perfect Puppy training class is essential education for human family members only (no puppies this first class only), designed to give you crucial problem solving and training skills that will set you and your puppy up for a successful training experience. Your puppy attends classes 2 - 6.
All family members (including older children) are encouraged to attend and participate in the training. We provide helpful reference materials to round out your education, along with homework for you and your puppy to practice outside of class to maximize your learning experience.
Please note age requirements: This class is for young puppies up to 19 weeks that were born AFTER 3-23-10. Pups 5 months and older should register for our Good Dog Manners class. Exceptions: Giant breed pups over 4 months should register for our Good Dog Manners class. Toy & Small breed pups over 4 months should enroll in our Petite Pals class.
